Long term career prospects Graduates find employment in the construction industry as sheet metal workers installing or fabricating duct work, blow pipe and dust collection systems as well as polished food grade stainless.

Apprenticeships

Prior to entering the in-class program, sheet metal worker pre-apprentices

typically have worked in the shop and field for approximately one year.

Apprentices attend one 8hr day a week at our training center in our paid related

instruction. In the basic, intermediate and advanced levels, Apprentices study

basic design concepts, AutoCAD, drafting and blueprint reading as well as welding. Sixty percent of class time is spent in theory and 40 percent

learning practical, hands-on skills in our training center shop

The aim of the course is an introduction to welding and fabrication applications and techniques in the Sheet Metal Working Industry. This is a practical course, you layout then fabricate with hands on.

Our Success

Our training center is set up for you to achieve all you will need to know when getting into the Sheet Metal trade. Our program is a 5-year Apprenticeship consisting of 9000 total hours with 512 hours of paid related day class, 330 hours of combined night classes with the remainder on the job training. Our full-time instructors are also Sheet Metal journeymen that have advanced to the instructor portion of their career. Our part time night class instructors are Sheet metal foreman by day and have many years of combined work experience in the industry. Our facility is open 5 days a week from 7:00 to 3:30 for anyone that would like a tour, please don’t hesitate to call and set up an appointment.
